Mary and Joseph made their way towards Bethlehem. Joseph had planned the route aiming to avoid most of the heavy seasonal traffic by taking some back roads that only a few 'guys in the know' would use.
Joseph missed a turn-off, blaming Mary for distracting him, chatting about baby clothes. Mary's suggestion to ask someone for help was met by stone-faced silence from Joseph who knew these parts like the back of his hand, or at least quite well.
Two hours later, Joseph was a bit more open to suggestions but still reluctant to ask someone for help. If they just carried on things would work out, right?
